My whole family enjoyed the Oglebay Park the Sunday after the '08 Meet. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Personally my wife said 'Hell no'. She said she'd drop me off whil she headed off to a spa for the weekend.
She already has plans to call the dumpster people and have the whole lot carted off upon my demise so it is really amazing that some couples can share the mego experience together.Leave a comment:

Took my wife with me the first mego meet and she had a great time. It was wall to wall megos for her a few days. I knew she didnt mind going but thought she was pretty bored. I was wrong. The lectures they gave on mego were really interesting and gave her a glimpse of why I collect mego. We found ourselves waiting for the next session to learn a little more that I didnt know about the company mego I collected figures from. She now takes a better interest in my collection and asks a whole lot of questions. Brought us closer together as she now gets that part of me that makes me collect with a better respect.Leave a comment:

I think the Park Resort is our winner. Jogging paths for her and the dog, and a zoo and planetarium are right up her alley. I'm sure finding Vegan options at the Highlands will be okay with so many chain type places to eat, there will probably be a Veggie burger and salad on the menu somewhere.Leave a comment:

Indeed, the Wheeling Island Casino isn't far from the Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum.
how did I forget about the casino?Leave a comment:

I grew up in Wheeling, so I know a few of the hot spots . . . and I use the term "hot" loosely. Like mentioned above, there are The Highlands and the Wheeling Downs Race Track and Casino. That's actually a pretty fun option if she likes to gamble at all. She could make a day of it watching the dogs run and playing the casino games. They also have a killer seafood buffet on Fridays. Another good option may be the Oglebay Park Resort area. It's a very nice location with many walking paths, fishing, golfing, and the Good Zoo & Benedum Planetarium. All of these locations are within 20 minutes of the Train Museum.Leave a comment:
