My wife and I have been using this:ECOVER Dishwashing Liquid with LEMON and ALOE VERA for our kitchen. It's a natural product sold at Whole Foods, but I bought it because Consumer Reports rated it very high.
Well, today, I had a Superman suit that had either old glue, food, dirt or mold on the inside (and a bit throughout) the fabric. I wasn't having much luck using just a tad of laundry detergent to get this gunk off/out of the suit. I then thought, well if this is thirty year old food, maybe dishwashing soap might loosen it up.
I need to see what the suit will look like when it dries, but right now, 90% of that stain looks gone. I applied with a q-tip, rinsed it a bit with water, then let it soak for some time and the gunk started to come off right away.
The thing is I don't know if it really was the dishwashing liquid or I had just loosened it up from the previous soaking and washing with our laundry detergent.
Any thoughts from anyone?
