2020 Collecting Goals

Got my super powers figures on display. I didn't buy much this year. Spent less than $500 all year.

Well with no Toylanta or Mego Meet this year my goals took a hit. But thanks to a dear friend I was able to score the American West and Robin Hood figures. I did find the Batcycle in the photo box but I think that was before COVID happened.

Yeah, no shows at all for me this year, so I met none of my toy collecting goals. However, I did meet a lot of my comic collecting goals surprisingly.

Big main goal is to finish my WGSH box set - just needing Conan and Green Goblin.

Try to find a silk screen Supergirl.

Other things are replace my loose Megos - Knights, Pirates, American West, Monsters & Robin Hood.

Looking for the CAH Wonder Woman Exploding Tower MIB and the Batcycle in the photo box.

Also looking for some toys from my childhood - Marx Johnny West, SMDM, GI Joe.

Yup, I bootlegged and discovered in the name of Mego… Ape City got bigger despite lots of sharing.

Add more Popy figures. I want Kamen Rider in my collection. And possibly Ultraman.

World Heroes and TV heroes are my goal.

I also want the Popy Spider Man car.

Now that 2020 is drawing to a close, I can say...I accomplished part of my goal. I now have four Popy World Heroes in my collection (Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Taro, and Kamen Rider Ichigo).

I love the Comic Action... I just wish I could find Wonder Woman at a decent price and condition.

The straight leg Pocket Heroes are calling to me... but I think a lot of others are hearing the same call.

I have a selection of both the Comic Action and Pocket Heroes that I thankfully picked up years ago. I know what you mean though about Wonder Woman as she's one that I don't have in either release.

Maybe one day though.

I've seen nice Pocket Shazam! and Joker customs. With a bit of work and a 4" Boss Hogg, I bet a nice Penguin could be had, too.

I've never had extra figures to trash to see how they coud be disassembled.

All of these things seem to be white hot right now.

One thing I'm really starting to enjoy with the 3 3/4" format is the bootlegs and customs that fans are starting to produce. Some of them in factory runs of professional quality. There's a lot of whimsy and clever things being done on that front, even though it's all unlicensed.

You should definitely go for the Pocket Action if nothing else, love that line.

For Megos, things rarely go according to plan for me but I always come away with something cool. 2020 for me would include:
Carded Shazam
Carded Thor
Boxed Isis

...and both carded FTC Svenghoolies. I was not impressed that we couldn’t order these in Canada.

I'm after a complete, minty loose set of Flash Gordon. I know pricing on those has gone up a bit in the last couple of years so that's a new challenge.

I would also like to complete my set of Popy Battle Fever. I have the two easiest ones in Japan and Cossack. Now I need France and Kenya! Good luck to me on that.

I think I am going to branch out more with my figure collecting. I've seen or had every WGSH 12x times over but there are RAH Joes and lines like Battlestar Galactica I wasn't even aware of. One good thing about starting from scratch is you can buy lots and not worry about if you already have them.

There are some kenner Star wars and Empire figures I wanna get as well.
