Just a few thought here. At least the show is on a basic cable channel, So re-airings will be frequent. One is coming up as I type.
The other thing I have to laugh about is his assistant back at the office. I get the feeling she was hired specially for the show to be some kind of eye candy and probably has little or no experience/love for the subject of toy collecting. Jordan, on the other hand; wears his toy love on his sleeve. His expressions in regards to the toyfinds are probably exactly what mine would be. He seems like-able and passionate.

Mego got a quick nod and glance in the first episode of Collector Intervention as well.

Unfortunately the audience of these shows are probably folks who do alot of selling at flea markets. Translation: Inflated prices headed to a table near you!

I'm sure the Andy Gibb bit was a pre-arranged gag. I know the host Jordan from lots of toy shows
over the years - he definitely has a face for TV (unlike most of us, myself included). He called me
about the pilot and was hoping the show would get picked up - I guess it did.

I watched the episode where he was in Austin TX finding things for an auction. I was puzzled that
his plan was to go to friends with collections, beg them to sell him rare items for close to full retail,
then take them to an auction where he often lost money. But I guess it's more about entertainment
than profit. The show's budget probably more than pays for any losses.

It is nice to see "this thing of ours" being talked about on TV. I think it will raise MEGO awareness
and make it harder to buy them inexpensively.

    Megos on toy hunters

i just watched that new show toy hunters,on the travel channel, this was their 2nd week, its interesting, they
talked about mego Cher and kiss figures,a comic action Batman ,and other cool toys, has anyone seen this
show?,i hope its successful,i think we will see a lot of mego stuff down the road, the toy hunter guy is a
little weird, there was this spot about hiding an Andy Gibb figure in this doll room, and he stuffs it down
his pants.(i hope that was just a gag).but it s good to see more megos on tv .
