    Question: Action Jackson/POTA Treehouse

    Hi Mego Forum!

It's been quite a while since I last posted.

I have a custom project in-progress, and I'd like to get some info on the Action Jackson/POTA Treehouse.

About 4 decades ago, I had the AJ Treehouse (long gone, of course). I've tried searching on Google, and it looks like Mego Museum has the best set of photos of that treehouse. So, for the people who own it, or it's POTA relative, some questions:

    1) How large it it, in inches? How many inches off the ground does it stand? The photos imply that the treehouse is maybe 6" off the ground (shorter than an AJ figure)

    2) What is the purpose of the outrigger? Since the photo has a rope ladder next to it, would AJ climb the rope ladder, precariously place his foot somewhere on the outrigger and hop into the treehouse? Isn't that more dangerous than simply using the solid ladder that's part of the floor?

    3) Why does AJ need a rope ladder to the roof? Inside the treehouse, there is a tree-type ladder leading to the crow's nest. So, there is already a way to get on the roof.

    4) Does the flap for the roof hatch cover the crow's nest? Or does it just cover the trapezoid cut-out in the roof if you remove the crow's nest assembly? What would AJ do when it rains?

    5) Is the treehouse resting on 4 legs only, with the front end somewhat hanging over the floor frame, unsupported? Is that design unstable and likely to make the treehouse tip?

    6) Is there some sort of wall on the right side of the treehouse? The photos of the POTA treehouse look like it's open on 3 sides (left, front, right) but the AJ version looks like the right side is covered by a panel.

Thanks in advance for any help! I'll gladly upload pics of the finished project when I'm done.
