After seeing that Rey Mysterio I have changed my mind....

I now want a full body, 6ft tall, life size Mego Spider-Man with a removable cloth costume for my Toy Room.

MegoGeek, Thanks for your input! As mentioned in an earlier post, it is my intention to do the first on in a few different scales in the prototype stage to see what would be a good mesh between aesthetics and displayability. I will probably do a full lifesized version, a little smaller than lifesize, and maybe a little smaller than that (around 1:3 scale.) Once we get to that point we can flesh the details out a little better.

As a part of my job, I can scan just about anything. I work for a company similar in function to Gentle Giant. Aside from the time, there is alot less cost in scanning than sculpting. I will still have a fair amount of sculpting to do once it is ''printed'' out in urethane foam, and then the molding is done off that master. I'm using the scanned method on this one as I can rotoprint it in several sizes to choose the most appropriate for collectors. As a potential consumer of your product, I implore you to consider reducing the scale to something a little more managable, perhaps a 1/4 scale or maybe doing a separate smaller scale run in addition to the full size one.

If this item did become part of a series, I fear after the 2nd or 3rd Full size bust, collectors would be rapidly running out of display space for piececs of such size. Maybe even after the first.

Also, is the cost of the computer scanning going to impact the final price? If so I may suggest just doing a hand sculpt on Batman. The Mego Batman head is about as primitive a sculpt as you will find for any Mego figure. I fear computer scanning the Batman head would be like using a flame thrower to light a cigarette. If it was the Lizard or Joker or Mr. Fantastic, then I would insist on computer scanning.

Even if I don't pick one up, I wish you luck, it sounds great.
