    The elevator on mine stay in place just from how tightly it fits in the tracks, you pull the string to make it go up, gut it doesn't really slide back down without a little push.

    It goes up and down by pulling a wire attached to the top of the elevator, no friction involved at all. If you want to stop at a certain floor you can pinch the wire in an opening in the top floor

    I set it up in front of the tree and filled it with superheroes. It was
    the Christmas that never was (when I was a kid).

    I actually sold mine with the original box (great condition) on ebay to the "one and only" Paul Clarke aka Dr. Mego for $650, but that was about 6 maybe 7 years ago! Thanks again Doc

    Hmm, I just set up my Wayne Foundation, had it since I was a kid but was toying with the idea of selling it. I guess I'd better start looking for the one U-clip that's missing first, everything else is there. Of course mine's loose, but displays nice.
