The elevator on mine stay in place just from how tightly it fits in the tracks, you pull the string to make it go up, gut it doesn't really slide back down without a little push. -
I have had the notion to build my own version out of wood for the kids. The only thing that I have never been able to figure out is how the elevator works. Could someone who has one give some details? How is it set up to stop at a floor? are there catches or is it all friction? Thanks.Leave a comment:

Thank you - I remember that Christmas - it was B.C - Before Children.
I set it up in front of the tree and filled it with superheroes. It was
the Christmas that never was (when I was a kid).Leave a comment:

I actually sold mine with the original box (great condition) on ebay to the "one and only" Paul Clarke aka Dr. Mego for $650, but that was about 6 maybe 7 years ago! Thanks again DocLeave a comment:

I would love to get my hands on a Wayne Foundation. I missed out a opportunity getting one last year due to wrong timing towards traveling overseas.Leave a comment:

Hmm, I just set up my Wayne Foundation, had it since I was a kid but was toying with the idea of selling it. I guess I'd better start looking for the one U-clip that's missing first, everything else is there. Of course mine's loose, but displays nice.Leave a comment:

Oh well then, I imagine it'll fetch a K or better if the box is nice.Leave a comment:
