    I can see it now.

Doc: "Excuse me miss, but may I feel and measure your breasts in the name of accurate toy production?"

Stripper: "Like I haven't heard that line before."

Doc: "No really I'm Dr. Mego"

Stripper: "Dr Mego Oh my God, go ahead"

Doc: (While fondling) "It's good to be Dr Mego.

I'm a little surprised at the number of people who have so publicly come out against the MEGO VB idea. Given the choice between one or the other, I would choose well done, properly articulated and accessorized 6" action figures, but hopefully we will get both.

I like the idea of the MEGO figures because I think they will be easier to develop and we'll be able to buy them sooner than a line that needs individual sculpts for each figure. Basically I am thinking of the MEGO line as an apetizer to the eventual full-fledged action figure line.

I'm just happy that I will soon be able to buy Venture Brothers toys. I really hope they turn out great.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but BifBangPow should quickly get to work on making some actual Venture Brothers figures. The Mego ones are cool and all, but you took an audience of people who were super excited about those characters being made into toys and sliced it down to a 10th.

The potential for really successful, really awesome 6 inch or 3 3/4 inch regular Venture Brothers figures could have been a huge hit. While I think the Mego figures will have some success, it'll be marginal in comparison.

That's just such an odd choice for the Ventures. Venture Brothers is a line that screams traditional modern day toys, not Mego. I seriously hope we hear an announcement soon about some regular action figure Venture Brothers toys soon.

    New factory bodies

I just received several boxes of bodies from the new factory and they are
better assembled than my old factory.

I don't remember if you posted about this before - but I am always happy
to repair any broken bodies from the Star Trek figures.

I wonder if Dude will come with the rug. Or if Walter will come with his handgun or uzi.

Walter Sobchak: Your wheel! At fifteen m-p-h I roll out! I double back, grab one of 'em and beat it out of him! The uzi!
    The Dude: Uzi?
Walter Sobchak: You didn't think I was rolling out of here naked!

OK, so I am not really "in-touch" with the current and obviously spend too much time playing with my toy lines from yesteryear. I had to look up Venture Bros. just to see what it was. Honestly, I have never heard of it before now. The Lost series never got my attention. However, I am all over the Twilight Zone.

All of that being said, I know me and I will likely buy all of the figures from every line if for no more reason than to support the re-birth of Mego.

Thanks for making this happen guys.

I'm so Excited at this news ( i was out of pocket for about a month) I am hoping we can see some Dharma jumpsuits as an acceory set; Trek engineer suits would be nice too ( similar pattern if you take some meqoesque styling queues).

I had to register so I could weigh in on this post.

I’m very excited about these recent developments. I’m 99% interested in your Venture Brothers line(s), but those LOST figures do look interesting; Locke in particular.

I was born in the 80’s, so my MEGO knowledge stems from reading Twister MEGO Theater in ToyFare before they stopped trying. The only MEGO figures I could afford was a Captain America with nothing but his blue jumpsuit and a Spider-Man with a broken leg that had been taped in place. That being said, I loved the Famous Covers line and my current favorite toy on my desk is Mezco’s 8” Gomez figure.

I’m not sure if it’s in line with the retro-feel this line may be going for, but I would be in favor of updated sculpted pieces such as hands. I like my toys to be able to hold their accessories. Which brings me to another question: will the Venture Brothers line include accessories? I think that’s where this line could truly shine.

As I mentioned before, the only MEGO figures I have are from the original series and they didn’t hold up too well. Do these new figures have improved articulation? Are they still held together by rubber bands?

I can’t wait to see the toys. Go Team Venture!

You're right, they're going to show them in NY for press and retailers on EMCE's boot.

EDIT: New Lost 8 inch prototypes showed up for an August 2010 release: Hurley, Locke and Ben 8 inch action figures
