    Exactly.

Plus, these 20 (!) figures become a test balloon for Mego working with Disney on other properties. If this is successful, perhaps there is more appetite for Star Wars etc. to happen... perhaps even with a better distribution model.

Except this was Disney dictating terms as to how the Marvel Megos could be done. The alternative to Disney only wasn't Walmart/Amazon or whatever, it was they don't get to do Marvel characters. Disney has all the leverage here, they don't need Mago to have their stuff out there, and if Mego was going to be able to do Marvel figures at all, they had to do it the way Disney required. That's very different tot he way the Topps deal (or the Big Lots deals went down where Mego was exploring different paths to market, this was the only path to market Mego had if they were going to do Marvel.

It's not ideal, but the alternative was no Marvel Megos at all.

I don't think Disney is Topps. Correction, they are definitely NOT Topps. I don't think this is comparable even to Big Lots, which did not have their Mego exclusives online.

I have no idea how this will play out for those of us dependent on the online Disney Store, as I have never purchased any Disney exclusives before, but Disney still has some physical stores, along with the in-park stores, and you may even see these in the online Marvel Store too. I think Mego will make a lot of Marvel Mego figures to satisfy this deal, so I am hopeful about these.

I get that many feel they have been burned by Topps (whether you missed them, or feel that you over paid when ZLC ended up with most of the stock later, both cheaper in price and shipping cost). But for some, Walmart has been a tough retailer for ANY exclusives (Hello, Marvel Legends and McFarlane DC Multiverse collectors!), and Green Arow is still highly sought after and he wasn't an exclusive anywhere.

Maybe it's my luck in finding the things I want, but I hope we as a community can pump the brakes a little before we go all negative on some exciting announcements, even if how-to obtain these figures causes some pause.

Curious about the character selection, and what versions thereof. Could be fun.

Having collected MOTU Walmart exclusives, and also not finding Megos actually at my local Walmarts, I'm concerned about distribution and availability. Ditto Disney.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I still recall Topps.

I am aware of the existence of Atlas comics but have next to zero knowledge of them. Not for me but I'm still very happy for the people excited for this.

I would have collected the heck out of McDonaldland.

I thought you were going to pull a bait and switch and it was going to be Micronauts.

If it is Atlas, I always thought the tiger man looked cool.

From your lips to Paul's ears. I've lived too long without an Ike Godsey Mego.

I'm still hoping for Mcdonaldland for licensed and Candi and Micronauts for retro Mego toys.
