I think I was there too! Or at least a similar event at a differnt LI store. Mine, I believe, was at the TSS on Sunrise Highway in Sayville/Bohemia. I still have my autographed photo that my father got me, because I was too terrified to go close to him. I'll download a pic of the auto if I can figure out how to scan the damn thing

I think he also played Santa during the holidays and yes, good eye. Those are MM gumball machines. I remember my sister having one when we were kids.

Sigh.............the good `ol days....Wish I had a time machine.I would raid Toys R Us with 10 shopping carts and buy every Mego Ape toy and playset they had!........also any Hot Wheels ,Corgi and Matchbox diecast too!.LOL!

Oh my that is wonderful. My kids (2 and 4) wanted me to get out my Treehouse last weekend and I honestly coudln't remember how it went together. I has been probably 30 years since I put it together last. I promised dad would get instructions and we'd try again soon.
