1. Colonial Viper: I always wanted a Colonial Viper from the original Battlestar: Galactica series. It reminded me of a Ford Mustang in space.

2. Imperial Star Destroyer: This is how I always thought real spaceships would eventually look like, very militaristic.

But the USS Cygnus is basically all windows..
It also is the ULTIMATE waste of space on a spaceship.
Every room is like being in a cathedral
The photo above really don't express that.

I like the refit Enterprise best. Not enough difference between it and the "A" for me to really notice. I liked the original TV version, but I thought Jefferies did a great job of updating it but keeping the spirit of the original. To me it looks more timeless than the Enterprise D or Voyager, which look kind of dated even now.

I don't know why you think that's an unrealistic-looking ship. In fact, that one mimics our current technology in a much more realistic way.

That's probably the most dead on ship of them all as far as realism is concerned.

Just look at our current International Space Station:

My personal favorites are these five:

2. Millenium Falcon
3. X-Wing Fighter
4. Battleship Yamato
5. Battlestar Galactica

Taking this on a different spin I think the most realistic space craft would be ones that are shown to look like they would actually work in a space environment. (NO friction or gravity here folks a ship must accelerate in the opposite direction to slow down or stop) That being said......

The star fury from Babylon 5 . The pilot is centered with 4 outboard mulitivectored engines. The ship can accelerate in the opposite direction to stop or piviot on its axis.

The earth battleships from Babylon 5. The majority of the ship rotates on a centeral axis thus creating artificial gravity.


The Eagle from 1999. Designed realisticly. Apollo styled command pod, utlitarian spaceframe, multivectored jets on outboard landing pods.
(sure they wrongly showed it doing dogfight manuevers and NO it wouldnt be able to take off from a earth type planet. The moon has less gravity OK but other then that the Eagle has no lifting surfaces and therefor is as aerodynamic as a brick)



I like that the New Battlestar Galactic took this into account and added attitude control jets on the CGI models and show Vipers doing 0 G maneuvers
