I think the bluray set did/added more with the actual score soundtracks to various episodes than the dvd box set did. I seem to recall reading something along those lines and that is what got my attention about the bluray box set (I own the dvd box that came with the companion book)

I have not checked them out yet but I bet they will not look much better than DVD since they are only can ever be standard resolution. Have heard they restored Rod Serling's "have a merry Christmas" cap to his narration in Night of the Meek.

I bought the complete DVD box set last year. Nobody bid against me, and I paid $30 plus shipping. Couldn't believe my luck.

It's completely worth it, to be able to watch the classic episodes whenever you want, as well as the ones that aren't shown as often.

Twilight Zone blu ray complete series

Good things come to those who wait.

I read about the release of the individual T Sone seasons coming out at a list price of $100 and typically discounted to 60-70 bucks and thought "I want these but I bet I can get them cheaper down the run"

the complete series eventually came out at a list of $400 and in the beginning discounted at a little over half that.

then comes Christmas time and I saw these going down to the $175 range and I thought "Now I can pay attention"

Anyway, pulled the trigger for the entire series at $168 shipped at Ebay on Christmas Day (knowing my Christmas money) and it comes in today.

So, with all five seasons included I ended up rounding out to $34 a season.

Bigger T zone fans than I have had fun with the video history. Besides the pricy VHS/Beta Columbia House releases, The first DVD releases were not in series sets and pricy. I didn't buy anything until they came out with the definitive collection series sets and got them season by season as they came out which was more pricy (but at least I didn't end up double dipping with those earlier DVD releases).

Some people have said "how come you need it in HD when it isn't in color?" And I shake my head. I could argue that HD benefits black and white more than color. Black and white is all texture, highlight and shadow and no color to distract from it.
