Well, since you've reached this episode, we can now talk about it without spoiling anything.
That episode was really well written and dramatic, true. But still heartbreaking, and I wish they hadn't killed them. There was still so much story left in these characters.

    >I never understood why they bumped off some characters.

That was one of the things I liked about it. There was some genuine tension 'cos you never knew who was gonna make it.... or if the good guys would actually win. Or who were REALLY the good guys.

Watched a couple more eps yesterday and this morning.....Gwenn's wedding was ok. I've decided to watch all Netflix has of Torchwood. It seems to beat most of the other TV series they have.

    Hmmmm....

It kinda goes back and forth, but overall I like it 'cos it's different. A lot of the probelms seem to come from them stretching plots to fit a programming schedule: Miracle Day seems to suffer from being stretched out by presenting a number of subplots that don't go anywhere and don't really add much to the story.

The early series were good, aswell as Children of Earth, although Miracle Day started off quite good it sadly lost it for me after the 5th episode.

Miracle Day should have been four parts tops. I remember when the first episode ran I thought "How are they going to keep this ball in the air for ten parts?"

I think it got better and better (with Children of Earth the very best), then it went crashing down in the latest season, which was awful.

I think it gets better as it gets along personally, mostly because the character development is good.

The plots range from good to meh and it suffers way too much from Deux Ex Machina at times (an RTD handicap) but he's very good at creating people you care about so it kind of evens out.

I like Torchwood but for me the show got worse as the seasons progressed.

Season's 1-2 are the best imo

Being a big DOCTOR WHO fan (which TORCHWOOD is an wordplay on), I highly recommend the show! It's a bit more serious that Doctor Who most of the time, but nonetheless, highly entertaining....!
