Interesting idea. Episode 1 and JarJar get completely skipped. I havent watched any of the films in a few years so im sorta "fresh". I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

I read an interesting article just last night. A friend posted it on facebook. Anyway, it's a suggested viewing order of the entire series. After I read it, I wanted to give that a go and see if I like it.
The author of the article suggests watching it this way: 4, 5, 2, 3, 6 and says to skip 1. Give the article a read if you're curious. I think it makes sense.

I was under the impression it would be ACTUALLY Vader (full costume, Jones voice) starting half way thru it! Thats what I got for keeping up with internet rumors!

Im still glad he made them. I wonder if the last three will ever get made though.

Phantom Menace was the last Star Wars Movie I paid to see. I found it a pandering commercial piece of crap that defiled a solid Mythology that the previous movies created.

The Death of Superman and its much hyped heavy handed sales techniques. Marks the last comicbook I ever bought off the rack.

Maybe if more people could be more discerning on thier entertainment dollars. Hollywood and comics might pay attention.

Gotta love George Lucas. He gave us a movie series to love as a kid and one to loath as adults. He completed the entire emotional spectrum.

I'm not a big fan of the prequels but I went and saw Ep1 in 3D and while the movie would be better if it was about 30 minutes shorter the 3D was pretty cool.

The acting is pityful and you can tell Lucas included things to be a crowd pleaser.
I wasnt pleased. There had been a rumor that Anakin would turn into Vader halfway thru the third movie but instead they barely even showed him. I was really disappointed in that.
The prequels are o.k. i think. I really wish he would do the last three instead of all these side projects.

It has nothing to do with pseudo-intellectualism and this guy is a moron to think those prequels are some artistic statement and anything other than "give the people what they want" thing and make a financial killing.

The original Star Wars was at least had to be a genuine artistic vision, because nobody predicted it would be the mega hit it became. Where are the prequels are pure commercial product.

The prequels are less popular because the just suck. The acting is pityful and you can tell Lucas included things to be a crowd pleaser.

Yahoo! news is silly, and not just for this article. Their articles on nutrition are full of misinformation and the front page fluctuates between really serious, dire matters and articles like this.

For me, SW will always be the original trilogy. That's my SW... it's the one I grew up with and love.

But I don't hate the prequels. In fact, there are certain aspects of them that I like.

I actually like the political aspect of the prequels' storyline a great deal.
I would have liked a lot more of that side of things in the movies.
(I think Lucas should have kept the scenes showing the origin of the Rebel Alliance with the founding senators intact in Revenge of the Sith. That was a pretty important subplot to cut out.)

One of the most intriguing aspects of the SW universe was how a supposedly democratic (albeit corrupt) republic became a totalitarian empire.

Ever since reading the preface to the original SW novelization back in the day where it describes the corruption in the senate and how Palpatine caused himself to become elected leader, I always wondered how that happened, and how exactly the Empire rose to power.
    Now, we know.

For what it's worth, my 11 year old likes the prequels. He asked me to take him to see Episode 1 in 3-D.

yeah I read this and posted as well here is my post on the matter:

This isnt even worth talking about whoever thinks the prequels are better then the Originals obviously have never actually watched the movies. Now go grab your Jar-Jar figure and go enjoy the brand new 3D movie oh wait nope its still that horrible movie that is using the Star Wars name to sell tickets.

Besides the super-lousy acting the biggest thing I didn't like about the prequels is they are too complicated and hard to follow.

It's like the classic trilogy was written for the whole family and the prequels were written for somebody else.
