Didn't Patrick Duffy just dream that? Oh...that was Dallas... Yeah, I thought that show held a lot of promise. People forget how hard it was to sell heroes in the 80's though. Kids were a lot different then from what they are today. Something was either in or it was completely out. And in those days we only had Superman to point to from the big screen. So heroes were not hip by any stretch at that time. And Stan Lee was still only known within the comic circles.

I liked it, but it was always pre-empted on our local stations...just like the old Gemini Man, and Logans run series where. Even at that age I knew constant pre-empts meant the show was doomed.

Yeah, that explains a lot. I like those shows, too!

I wonder what it was up against in its time slot?

I've always thought it was a great show, and would make webbed hands for myself as a kid with rubber housecleaning gloves. I have all the Marvel comics, the paperback adaption of the pilot movie, a hardback British annual, as well as the pilot movie DVD...there just doesn't seem to be a lot out there. I'll probably get the rest of the movies and the series soon. I wonder what it was up against in its time slot? It should have been more successful. The pilot is actually pretty decent and would be something I'd like to see Hollywood reboot. It's a cool concept and would still work, IMO.

The hell? I've never even heard of this series, and I was an 8 year-old glued to the TV in 1977. Weird..

That's a favourite tell of mine in just about every 70s television production.

I know I'm due for some real clunkers coming up but the show was quite good, I'm honestly looking forward for my next quiet hour (the wife ain't into these) to watch more.
