I was actually going to start a favorite starship thread. Now I don't need to. This is possibly my favorite spaceship ever, but it's hard as hell to get a good pic. I bring you the Andromeda.






I like most of the ships from the series, but this was my favorite.

It just looks like a friggin' preying mantis...and it obviously influenced the look of the TNG Romulan ships...

The bad thing about the Space Battleship Yamato aka Argo....is that it's all offense...but no defense.

It lacks deflector-type shields...so its haul is really exposed.

However...if it gives out a direct hit with its wave-motion gun...no ship in the universe can withstand its power...you are a goner.

it's defense is traditional armor plate and don't forget about the asteroid ring Sanada/Sandor created

after all it's a Battleship it can take a pounding and just keep fighting

That's the thing about Corman, all of his starlets have a nice rack. It's what makes his movies watchable.

I can't believe nobody else has War Rocket Ajax in their top 10

I was going to add Dr. *******'s ship from "Flesh Gordon"(close enough resemblance to the Ajax), but I already had a ship with female anatomy listed and I didn't want to come across as a pervert.

This is an easy one for me - Hands down the Phoenix from Battle of the Planets.

I even loved the "refit" Phoenix for the newest animated movie they released a few years ago, and Phoenix from the second series (a.k.a. "Eagle Riders") was a little hokey but sill cool... But there's something about the original that just can't be beat!

Here's a nice diecast I have of the ship. All the transportation portals open to reveal Jason's car, Princess bike, and Mark's Plane. It's one of my treasured pieces.

My son has one and refuses to let me play with it!

She did have anti space craft guns but her main defense was her fighters and a very thick hull
