I can remember Lucas saying he wanted to move on to more serious movies after Star Wars. Go on, Yoda, give us your wisdom about this.

Count me out. Even for a buck I don't think I could actually watch this one again, even for a laugh. This one was just too bad, and that's saying a whole lot for a guy like me.

That film was released during that weird period where it was okay for kid-themed movies to have sex and adult language. Like this, and Monster Squad.

I don't remember much about Howard, other than he and Lea Thompson's character had sex. And she was really cute.

the movie was just a bad idea to begn with and was so poorly executed I am surprised Lucas even let it out of the vault for DVD release

Biggest problem (besides the script..), is they tried to make Howard 'cute'...

Wrong approach on so many levels.
