well don't you coun't Winston Churchill from Victory of the Daleks (ep2) as a famous person? or is that just a UK thing?

for me the van gough episode was the worst, It didn't seem to have any purpouse but to be the episode with a famous guy in. but in the final two episodes it does make some sense, but I still don't like the episode, even though nill nighy is in it

I think the sonic screwdriver gets used way too often. He needs to loose it for a few episodes. I kind of like the dimensional rift story line...

Yeah but to go from totally reptillian looking to human with scales, that's a big stretch.
I could see the reptile silurians despising these for being too " ape " like in appearance.

I actually reminded me of a 3rd Doctor Missing adventure ( scales of injustice ), where some Silurians and Sea Devils cross bred.

I used to think the Sea Devils were based on Iguanas ( like the ones you see swimming in the Galapagos islands ) but i think the face looks more like a turtle.

I wasn't a fan either 'cos they're kinda generic looking and WAY different from the original.... but the Doctor did refer to them as a different branch.... Silurians and Sea Devils are pretty different too, but related. Maybe "Silurian" is a generic term for several different species that evolved from dinosaurs?
