That was Zoe Saldana. She played Uhura in the recent Star Trek film. She was also in the first Pirates film. Very attractive actress.

I don't hate the movie, but I don't love it either. It is very pretty to look at though.
I'm probably jaded from working at the movies. I get like that sometimes and take it out on the movie when I probably shouldn't. I still hate Lord of the Rings for that reason.

I might buy it but not till after Christmas when I'm sure the special special wonderful edition will be out so I'm not duplicating my purchase for anything. I hear the version out now doesn't have any special features. Supposedly its coming back out in theaters in August with 6 minutes of footage added. (the ponytail sex scene maybe?).

Still a great show and fantastic CGI but the story just ain't there for me.

I agree too. The imagery was great but half the time the story and the dialog had me rolling my eyes.

Avatar came out years ago.....it was called Dancing with wolves! (really think about it), the stories are so much alike it's not funny! I like Avatar, really I do, but the very second I finished watching it I looked over at my wife and we both said the same thing.

When I bought my copy at Target, they had it on the endcap with Dances with Wolves. I thought that was hilarious. lol
