By that logic I should only watch most TV I like on VHS tapes with tracking problems. -
This movie was supposed to be seen on a huge movie screen. What destroys the movie magic is that some of LR's effects were not too good, even considering the time. That doesn't detract from my love for the movie and it also doesn't detract that it should be seen as close to it's original theatrical condition as possible.there is absolutely no reason to get this ion blu ray
it will only destroy the movie magic
"The picture generally has good detail, enough that you can plainly see many matte lines and the wires holding up the bodies during the Carrousel sequence " Blu-ray Review: Logan's Run | High-Def Digest
you can see jessica and all her glory fine on the DVD. and that is hardly a reason to get the movie anyway. this is a classic sci fi film -not intended to be soft porn
Besides, I could see those wires all the way back to CED disc (the defunct RCA Selectavision format that had maybe a little better quality than VHS).
For me, having films in the highest quality format possible is not to always be "wowed" by them. It's to better see how the film originally looked on the big screen.Last edited by mego73; Apr 6, '10, 11:58 PM.Leave a comment:

Not for the blu ray, I can for the DVD but the sheerness didn't jump out at me on the DVD.
But in this review;
Blu-ray Review: Logan's Run | High-Def Digest
Is a not too revealing but still delicious picture of her in that outfit

Two pieces of trivia..: Lindsay Wagner, Cybil Shepard and a host of other actresses were up for the role of Jessica, but the majority seemed 'too American' during the casting call.
Also, this was the first film to use Dolby Stereo in the soundtrack, quite an innovation for that period.
Funny story..: I had lent this movie to a German student who stayed with us, and even though he liked sci-fi, he watched it, enjoyed it, but said in his broken english that 'it was really old...'.
Oy vey~!

I'm good with my reg'lar ol' DVD fer now. Shucks.

I had actually totally forgot about the boobies scene until I bought the DVD a few years back and watched it. I was like..

quite the nice surprise
I think the only change the movie could use is a new soundtrack. The music is a bit annoying and feels very dated.

The naming of cats is a difficult matter,
It's just not one of your holiday games
You may think at first that I am mad as a hatter
When I tell you that each cat's got three different names.Leave a comment:
