I seen it on Saturday night: It was 'okay' but not really good... Certainly didn't live up to the hype I've been reading online. 6/10

And Nostalgiabuff brings up a good point in post #15. I knew there was something up with her when she was wearing a complete/regular outfit and not rags as the forest humans were, so I knew she wasn't going to be 'dumb' as the hunted humans were.

Also, where were the other species of apes? By that I mean we had Raka the Orangutan and Proximus Caesar had his Gorilla crony, but where were all of the other Orangs & Gorillas? Surely you'd think the apes would be living in integrated communities?

I'm sure most of you know already, but if not, the home video release for "Kingdom" is August 27, 2024:

The fate of the world is at stake when 20th Century Studios’ Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes arrives to digital retailers (Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home) on July 9 and on 4K Ultra HD…

I didn't catch this in the theater due to family stuff but I sat down and watched it two weeks back.

Honestly, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The first half hour was not grabbing me but eventually it turned around. The ending is intriguing and probably the movie I'd like to have seen.

The whole egg gathering aspect could have been trimmed down.

Agreed. That is a criticism I have with the previous trilogy, they all needed a faster pace at times.
