A couple of years ago I saw Warwick Davis and Lou Ferigno sitting next to each other signing at a con, and I couldn't help thinking that there was a high concept buddy cop movie/TV show waiting to happen.Leave a comment:

They call these actors "sad".
Well, let's see.
I've met and had dinner with Bulloch, Mayhew, Prowse, John-Rhys Davis,...when I was still running conventions.
Basically they get to travel across the world (wife included), see the sights, stay at a decent hotel, eat well,...for free. They then spend a day talking to people that simply adore them, and get $25+ for an autograph.
Jeremy Bulloch was very cool about it all, and he loves what he's doing. He's getting paid for doing what most people call "vacation".
Most actors, and I'm talking 95% of them, remain total unknowns and earn their living cleaning tables. SW actors are still in demand 25 years after their role!
Personally, I'd love to play a rubber-headed alien in Star Wars VII, and travel the world, signing my picture for $$$.

In an interview, I saw Mark do a Harrison Ford impression that was actually better than....Harrison Ford. The voice was fantastic.Leave a comment:

The statements about Hamil were probaby accurate 18 years ago. When I was in High school I worked at one of the largest TV cable home shopping company (where "Quality" was in their name). about 1991 Mark was on selling autographed star wars stuff and he couldn't have looked more miserable doing it. he wasn't rude to any of us but he just seemed unhappy he had to stoop that low (not sure if it was before or after that awful guyver direct to video junker). A couple years later he was on with Kevin Conroy for mask of the Phantasm and his demeaner was totally differnt. he would break into joker on and off camera (his whole body language changes when he'e joker) and he and conroy were bantering with callers and the joy on his face was unmistakeable.
When you see him interviewed now he has embraced Luke but I can bet for a long time Luke was the albatross around his neck when it came to acting roles (much like batman was for Adam west for so long)
did he forget he could gargle Gershwin?

Yeah, I think he was typecast as Luke. I saw an interview where he talked about loving animation 'cos you could let loose, and not be afraid of typecasting. (he mentioned how a lot of folks didn't even know it was him playing the Joker.)
....but origianlly I was pointing out the song.... and NOBODY'S commented on the song....
*sniff*

Nothing but envy and hate on that article.Where Are They Now? The 5 Strangest Post-'Star Wars' Careers | Cracked.com
So.... the article's kinda interesting; but scroll down to the Boba Fett song. Be warned, like the site says: "Good luck getting that **** out of your head, by the way."

That writer wishes he had one percent of those actors' collective successes.
I would kill to do cartoon voice-overs like Hammil.Leave a comment:
