    Very true,
Liz has aged very well ...
Especially if you compare her to Katy Manning who is actually younger then Elisabeth Sladen, but looks much much older today.

I'm still debating whether I'll make him "fully-functional" (as in "Rik inside the thing"), or just as a display model.
I'm not tall, but those Dalek operators are a full four inches shorter than me.
I'm sure that driving a Dalek can be fun, but how many times will you actually DO that?
And it restricts you from building more options on the inside. Like a remote control driving mechanism...

Good luck. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the finished Dalek.

When you finish don't turn meglomanical like Davros and try to use the Dalek to take over the universe!

depending on the size of them you could use those clear balls that michael's carrys as christmas ornaments. they come up to 4" in diameter and you get two per shot. If that's too small I would just build a small vacuum former and just form them in sheets.
After looking at the pictures of one it looks like a pretty straight forward build if you already have the head .\

something else I just thought of would be those plastic balls they use in ball pits cut in half

    Building a life-size Dalek

I recently got the Dalek voice changer head, and man, I can't help myself.
I have to build the rest of it, too!

I've joined Project Dalek, and I'm going for it.
It presents lots of challenges, one being those Dalek "bumps" it has on the main body. Some builders use those plastic balls that toys come in, but they seem so fragile. Some use Leggs Eggs (for women's stockings), but where am I going to find about 60 of those?

Hmmm. Gonna be some long nights tinkering and hammering away.
If the neighbours complain, I'll just exterminate them!
Working...
