    1. The original Star Wars Trilogy
    2. ALIEN & Aliens
    3. Blade Runner
    4. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
    5. John Carpenter's The Thing
    6. Terminator 1 & 2
    7. The Abyss
    8. 2001: A Space Oddessey
    9. Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan
    10.Planet of the Apes

    Honorable mention: Galaxy Quest, Dark City, Predator, RoboCop, Brazil, Forbidden Planet, Clockwork Orange, The Day the Earth Stood Still, War of the Worlds, Mad Max, Donnie Darko, Godzilla, King Kong, The Bride of Frankenstein, An American Werewolf in London, E.T....etc...

    And I'm sorry if this next comment makes me enemies...but I HATE the Lord of the Rings flicks...sorry...and the new Star Wars trilogy can go to hell...lol.

    I waited years for a remake...only to be terribly disappointed. I even took the day off, and dragged my husband to take me. I am so disgusted with Tim Burton.

    My Mom took me to see it in the theatre.

    On the one hand, this movie had some stuff closer to the original book by Pierre Boulle. On the ohter hand....it just stunk.
