Monday's episode, the pilot, has some interesting differences from the series. We see the house in a long shot and an extended view of its side and fencing.
In later episodes, the exterior front yard and door are more condensed, and the long shot is a matte painting.

Not sure what METV's deal is with WB but here might be WHY Addams Family is on now
Elizabeth Banks stars as the voice of grown-up Pebbles in the latest from the "modern stone-age family" Flintstones sequel series Bedrock.
"Fox Entertainment's free streaming platform Tubi acquired the AVOD rights of all six seasons of the 1960s original Hanna-Barbera cartoon which ran on ABC from 1960-66, becomes available on May 1."Leave a comment:

I think Herman and Grandpa turned out pretty decent. The rest could use another attempt in my opinion, and the whole line would benefit with more durable bodies.
From my perspective, Distinctive Dummies did an amazing job with Gomez, Morticia, Fester & Lurch, and it would be great to see something similar in style & detail hit retail. It would be even greater to see the whole family eventually, Chucky & Regan bodies would work out nicely for the kids.Leave a comment:

Eh, I guess it might be easier to make customs of the other four, but still.Leave a comment:

Classic Toys already did the Munsters way back in the day, you still see them pop up on ebay from time to time.
For Adams Family, I would be good with the main four, Gomez-Morticia-Lurch and Uncle Fester.Leave a comment:

Pretty sure both the Addams and Munsters would be hits for someone if they got doneLeave a comment:

I really like this idea!
I share your reluctance, although I think the appeal of The Addams Family is much broader than the previous sitcom efforts due to the crossover of horror & nostalgia. The Distinctive Dummies issues sold fast and are fetching $$$ on the secondary market in merely a few months time. Hopefully someone with some input has taken notice of that.At any rate, it would be an ambitious project, not seen since the release of the original OZ figures. I think it's possible to release four figures a year and no need for new tooling, but is that viable for Mego Corp? Horror and nostalgia seem to be selling well, but it's a big commitment if it's even possible or desired and previous sitcom efforts don't make me optimistic.Leave a comment:

I've always considered Thing as an accessory for Lurch or Cousin Itt, Mego-wise.
One plan might be two-packs with appropriate backgrounds: exterior, parlor, conservatory, playroom, Pugsley's bedroom.

I agree, it would be great if Itt & Thing were packaged together though.
I'm not all that interested in living beyond 75, so that's about a 17.5 year span for this to happen.
However, if I must wait a bit longer, I suppose I could always use a spray on preservative, just to keep.

Very excited to be able to watch this on over-the-air TV again! Visually, I love the Munsters, but the Addams Family's humor was smarter and more devilish. I think the actual show has aged better, overall.
