Cool, $500 would have probably been approx. the going import price back then. A toy that big, that geeky and that expensive is definitely a relationship tester. Those RC toys are things of beauty though, I wish I had even just one of them.

Was it the '54 or '89 version? Do you recall how much it was selling for? I've never seen one in person, I'm sure it's an imposing sight, especially with the huge box. Damn girlfriends/wives and their practicality.

I remember seeing that in a toy store in NYC in the village and my heart almost came out of my mouth the box was huge I wanted to get it but my girlfriend talked me out of it.....( I dumped her soon afterwards..lol) I remember thinking that was the most epic Godzilla i had ever seen.....

If we can include all Godzilla kaiju related collectibles, my grail is the 11" Bullmark missile firing vinyl MechaGodzilla.

If we are talking the big G only, then I totally agree with rche's choice of the Popy Jumbosaurus. I like my Godzilla toys big.

The Tokyo Marui Remote Controlled Godzillas are pretty epic toys as well. So is the Marui RC Mothra larva, which even shoots silly string!

Bought a Shogun Goji three years ago -finally- but the seller would only ship to the US. So for now, my friend in Vegas is harboring a kaiju. Until 2014 that is...when I'm coming to town!
