That might be "How To Get Ahead In Advertising" from 1989. Kind of a funny movie - if that's it.

Back when I was a kid I seen a movie or TV show (I forgot which)

It was about a guy who discovered an eye on his shoulder

It later grew into a head.

That always scared me --- I used to constantly look at my shoulders for an eye

The ALIEN still gives me nightmares, and has since I was little. But I love it!

John Carpenter's THE THING also gives me nightmares, but more along the theme of it consuming and replacing you, even with just a single cell.

And long ago THE MONSTER FROM THE ID from FORBIDDEN PLANET scared me pretty bad, although I also loved the film.

When I was little, I had to tear-off the cover of the FAMOUS MONSTERS issue featuring THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN. It was scary-gross.

As a kid,a few monsters scared me,the Gargoyles from the film Gargoyles, especially when i walked through the church yard at nite,i would think they would fly off the top of the church and get me,as i had a dream where they were chasing me through the church yard and carried me off to be eaten. The vampire from Salems Lot was creepy,Christopher Lees Dracula was scary when he had those blood red eyes going on.

I was a kid with an overactive imagination.

when I was 7 years old, the zombie Children from this film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080527/ scarred the hell out of me. Actually the little demons from Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973) did too until I got older

No monsters ever scared me as a kid, I was just absolutely delighted by them. It's people that have always scared me. And ghostly things, which are just undead people. Or things that could actually happen (*cough cough JAWS*).

The closest thing to a monster that scared me as a kid (excluding ghostlies and The Fog), was some sort of toxic deformed human in some unknown old 70's horror movie, set on some indian reservation or something.
I found it again years later, and it was an absolute crap movie, and not scary at all, but as a kid the idea that a deformed toxic killing human monster could be roaming outside the underbrush around my house waiting to maul me freaked me out.

And even though Rats aren't monsters, they sure act monstrous. The bad 70s movie 'Rats' totally freaked me out in the theater scene, where they invade the dark theater full of patrons and start messily munching on them (does not hold up as far as scary gore now though).

And I had a really hard time sitting on a toilet after Ghoulies 2.

And I had a hard time hanging my feet over my bed after that (TV) Tales From the Darkside episode with the killing mutant monster baby living in the cubbyhole in the wall. Creepy little thing.

The only other monsters that really scared me (that I can recall), was when I saw the Salem's Lot TV mini-series with Barlow the vampire and the Space:1999 episode Dragon's Domain with the alien tentacle monster (not really movies, I know)...I had nightmares about them for weeks.

Are you talking about TV38? I used to love weekend monster movies on that channel. Pretty good chance of seeing either a Godzilla (my favorite) or a Vincent Price movie on any given weekend. Good times .
Oh yeah as far as monsters I was pretty scared of Calibos on Clash of the Titans, and the Medusa come the think of it lol.

Most of what frightened me was humanoid. Barlow from Salem's Lot was a big one. The weird looking dude from Phantasm creeped me out. And, that mutant baby from It's Alive to this day is unsettling.

For whatever reason, I still get unconfortable watching giant insects and animals. Giant spiders and rats and praying mantis freak me out even when the normal sized ones do not.

those bone sucking things from Island of Terror. The noise they made sort of sounded like cars passing in the distance so I could hear them at night when the windows were open.

When I was a kid, the movie that literally gave me nightmares was "Equinox" I located it on DVD a few years ago and I was shocked how BAD it was and can't imagine why I was so terrified.

The only movie to really affect me that way as an adult is John Carpenter's "Prince of Darkness". The movie isn't his best, but the ending is REALLY creepy. The monster in that movie is Satan, so I guess that's my answer

I remember being absolutely horrified of Kermit with fangs - which I must have seen from when Vincent Price hosted The Muppet Show. I wasn't able to sleep easily for many nights because I was literally shaking with fear. Kermit was (and still is) one of my favorite characters - so it was a real shock to see him like that.

I was scared of a lot of things when I was a kid - but I think that might be one of the most horrifying.

NOW - I don't think monsters are scary. I'm still riddled with fear - but it's less about things from fantasy now.

Paris Hilton in any movie scares the **** out of me.

Other than that, I find zombies scary, because being eaten alive (slowly) seems pretty unpleasant to me....
