Same here. I'm monster movie fan since childhood, but hollywood has actually made me sick of them.

That's why I prefer the classics
I don't think I even have any modern horror movies on DVD, not counting the obscure B-movies

That's because it really isn't a horror movie/vampire movie/monster movie. It's just another ham fisted humans are evil/greedy/destroying the planet movie using vampires as a hook to get the "unwashed masses" to go see it.

that's exactly what it was...social/political commentary pure and simple. They didn't even do a good job disguising it.

there was nothing scary about the movie. Even though it was done well and the acting was okay, it was not a horror movie at all. Don't go to it if you are expecting a spooky, scary vampire movie. It is not that at all.

I did get to see another trailer for "The Wolfman" - man I hope it lives up to the hype
