    Beetlejuice 2

This week we get Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at the theater:

After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid, accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife

One factor is Beetlejuice has more screen time in the second movie. Overall it was a fun popcorn movie. Feels compact like they squeezed in a 3hr movie into a 2hr with all the plot points but that keeps you on your toes. Worth watching at the theater.
P.S. There is no bonus footage (mid or post).

I enjoyed it. I felt Dafoe and Bellucci's characters were under utilized, but neither was wasted. And really, you could tell every single actor was LOVING every moment, and it transferred to the audience. It's just a fun, good time. Worth a watch. I loved Catherine O'Hara's perfoemance.

We watched it at the local drive-in, and the experience there was just kind of bad. Rowdy crowd, the sound seemed to be echoing from the cars (we sat outside because the weather was nice). But we did enjoy the film Just need to see it in a standard theater to pick up all the minutia. It struck a good balance of giving you what you loved and the first one, and doing some new things in the established world.

Nothing groundbreaking with the story, but it was original enough that it didn't just retread the first. It tied up a lot of loose ends and lingering questions from the first film without stepping on its toes, and really the only thing I felt was missing was Otho. Sadly Glen Shadix passed away, but some acknowledgement of his character would have been nice since we found out what happened to the Maitlands, and the Deetzes, as well as Beetlejuice's backstory.

Not a bad movie. We went with the whole family which is rare these days for a movie we all like. The effects felt clunkier than the original somehow? Not sure how exactly. The new characters were fun. It would be nice to see a Rogue One style movie where it all happens in the same universe but with mostly different people. The story was ok. More Beetlejuice centered of course. Missed Otho and Jones but understand that Jones is not hireable.

Got to see it in an actual theater and hear it, and we really enjoyed it. It's probably a bit overloaded, but it's fun, the old characters get plenty of do, as do the new characters, so a nice balance. I'm up for third one if they do it. But don't wait 30 plus years!

Yes, we enjoyed it as well. There is a lot going on (lots of characters & story lines), so pay attention, it was a lot of fun!

I've seen it twice. Enjoyed it more the second time. It cemented, for me, that while the movie is crowded, every character has something to do. Some are underutilized, but none are wasted. Justice for Bob!
