I didn't mean to agree with Hue on Reeve though...just Routh vs Welling.

Chris Reeve is the one and only Supes in my book.

I'm a Routh fan through and through----took Reeve's part and ran with it brilliantly --
as did Spacey with Hackman's Lex portrayal.

I don't even know who Welling IS outside of whatever.

    My advice?

Man Of Steel starring Routh----do it.

Wow...You'd pick Routh over Reeve?? Well...You are different Hue. To Me...Routh is a decent 2nd choice to Welling...I liked Routh in SMR.
I do agree with Ya on Spacey though...that was GREAT casting!! Never liked Hackman as Lex.

Well....I guess You and I can't agree on everything Hec...because I'd pick Welling over Routh any Day! But not over Chris Reeve...He was THE perfect Superman!

Welling is too pretty to be Superman...hell...with those lips...I almost wanna kiss him...lol.

Superman is chiseled handsome but he also has to have that slight nerd look...that's why the Chris Reeve and Brandon Routh look works...I don't think Welling will translate well to the big screen...people will be whispering to each other on how pretty he is, lol.

Routh fits the bill of a nerd done good...sort of like Tobey Maguire' Peter Parker...Welling is more like Flash Thompson...a jock.

Tom Welling is fine in that little television series he's currently on...that's his medium.

I still think Brandon Routh was good as Superman AND Clark. Just needs to let more of himself come out on screen. I do hope they do another and give him a 2nd shot before completely recasting but it looks like by the time they are ready, he'll be an old man.

    For what it's worth---that's that.

Some things will strike others differently...black and white and
    all shades of gray inbetween.

I mean, everyone knows Sean Connery's bald, but when he wears pieces in movies like "The Hunt for Red October", I think most people see it as the character, not Connery.

    I don't think Chewbacca's hair was all his either . . .

Again, maybe I just suspend my disbelief more readily on this than others do . . .
