This is funny this was brought up. There was an article along the lines of this. It was said that thankfully we'll never see a movie version of Hogan's Heroes.Leave a comment:

Well...I think You should give it a chance...in someways, I like it better than the original(and I'm BIG Heston Fan!). I've also heard...it's much closer the the Book.Leave a comment:

Well I liked POTA. It's not as good as the original but I liked it enough. I think to say it's the worst is letting some really bad one's go by.
Halloween really comes to mind when I seen this question.
PYSCHO! and OMEN just missed all the way. Willy Wonka also stunk.
You guys missed BEWITCHED! with Nicole Kidman. Really Really BAD!!!
Never watched the New Dukes or S & H But it looked too bad for me to even try.
Just looked at TK1 answer and I have to agree the Honeymooners was so BAD! Almost as bad as Bewitched!Leave a comment:

My top two have already been mentioned.
Planet of the Apes and Godzilla (with Matthew Broderick).
I personally thought Get Smart was much better than I expected.Leave a comment:

I know this is a "worst remake" thread...but I can think of a good one! I thought "I Am Legend" was an excellent remake of "The Omega Man"!

i want more apes
I agree 100%. Its so sad what they could have done with the POTA movies, yet they destroyed the remake. I say they start all over like they did with Hulk.

>As remakes go, the worst thing I have ever seen is Rollerball. The original's story, about corporate America gone wild, works even better today than it did then.
I forgot about that one! Talk about missing the point!
>the remake of Pyscho was THE WORST.
It's definitely in the contending; but I think it wins for worst idea. So... you're gonna remake the original frame by frame?!?!? WHY BOTHER?!?!?! It's like saying "y'know; the ORIGINAL was ALMOST perfect. If only there was some masturbation in it...."
>I prefer the remake "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" to the original "Willy Wonka".
Hmmmm.... I really didn't MIND it; but Willy was a little too Michael Jackson for me. Added a uncomfortable bit of creepy.
Yeah.... Rollerball..... NEEDS to be on the list.
Just think what'll be remade twenty years from now. "Talladega Nights was such a deep film, with so much potential. That's why we decided to make it gritty action/drama."
*shudder*

Bedazzled. . .They took my favourite black comedy and made it warm and fuzzy, complete with rapper/God and happy ending. I hated that I didn't mind it, had a lot to do with Hurley and the wishes being clever I guess. I would have rather seen a modern comedy team like Cross/Odenkirk handle this subject matter, the original is brilliant.
I just LOVE the ending of the original. . .Peter Cook played it magnificently. Probably my favourite all time movie. Someone on the board I think listed it as their favourite movie not too long back as well.
Peter to Dudley "I thought I saw him nestleing in your pants!"
I didn't hate the remake either. . .although I wanted too.Leave a comment:
