A lot of the college stuff is due to the dependency on foreign exchange student tuition. It's pretty messy, but they've been a cash cow for colleges and universities for several years now. The problem is about 30% of the students shouldn't have qualified for overseas education but they got through for a myriad of reasons. They don't want to leave because they may not get back in. So if the schools says "come on back..." they have to do that for everyone, which becomes a huge risk factor.

If things go well...first 30 days to get a hold on this. Next 30 days to clean it up. Last 30 days to return to somewhat normalcy.

A coworker almost took a beatdown yesterday at a Smart & Final when 2 other ladies felt she took their can of Lysol.

I agree. The way the media is covering this is borderline criminal.

From a toy collecting perspective now would be a good time to sell online since people are staying home.

    For real though...
The college I work for announced moving all classes to online starting this coming Monday through the remainder of the semester, and the state of Michigan just announced closing all K-12 schools in the state from March 16-April 6.

internet is going to get slow in days ahead, I think. I know many of the classes I work with are moving to Google chat and much of that with video. I am wondering how big of a surge of web usage and bandwidth will come in the next several weeks.

2 cases in my county so far

Wonder if the county will make the local non-Indian casino shut down ?

everywhere. schools started shutting down here in NY now, the national guard has cordoned off the heaviest hit part of New Rochelle. the governor has ordered no gatherings more than 500, which I expect will soon be lowered. stay safe everyone
