Didn't one of them have like a pad on their face and they had little pictures of faces on the pages? They would remove a page and there would be a different look on the page. It was like a kind of weird version of a flipbook.

^Of course! Robot Couple, and WW's Formicida!!
That episode was on MeTV a few weeks ago. Shields (he was the guy right?) shared some rather nasty opinions about Lynda Carter in a Back Issue article Andy Mangels wrote on the series over a decade ago. Seemed kind of sour grapes to me.

I have them in the same category as Shields and Yarnell, remember them?

Yes! I remembered them as soon as I saw the preview from the clip! And they were on the Muppet Show, so that makes total sense. Yes, they were kind of creepy. I didn't get it, so it was unsettling

Yeah, I think they open up for the Blue Man Group in Vegas.

Interesting! I don’t recall them. I watched the video. The performance didn’t creep me out and it didn’t make me laugh. To me, the short performance was interesting, but I wouldn’t want to watch an entire show of it.

I'd have never pulled that name from my memory, but I do remember seeing them on several TV appearances back in the day.

I remember the TV commercials advertising them on Broadway

One had toilet paper roles on his head and walked like a crab

Thank god on my 8th grade class trip to NYC we went to see Beatlemania instead
