They had some cool premiums! I have the squeeze bulb cars and boats! Wish I had the solid figures like megocrazy mentioned. The cereal wasn't bad either. -
I still have the magnets on the fridge at my mothers house. The green guy and the orange guy. I think the blue one too. I think I have some of the plastic solid colored figures too, and I think I remember a car with a squeeze bulb that you shot across the table.Leave a comment:

Oh, wow!!! Glad to see there were some fans of the toys because they were indeed cool and I remember them well, even if I couldn't recall the name.
z3zep, I am glad you still have them!
Man of Action, I honestly don't remember what the cereal tasted like. I think I was about 4 when it came out and I roundly rejected it, though (apparently)! Don't know if it was the taste that I didn't like, though. I'm a tactile person and that was defined early in my life, so it could have been a texture thing. Maybe it didn't hold up well in milk?Leave a comment:

I wouldn't let my kids eat it...

I liked Freakies! They tasted just like Quisp to me.
And I begged my mom and she finally gave in and I got the whole freakies set of figures via mail order.
I still have themLeave a comment:

Freakies Cereal
I forgot all about this, but upon seeing the commercial on YouTube, I remembered how the adverts worked their charms on me and I bugged the heck out of my Mom to get this stuff.
For years, it was a matter of legend in my family about how I wanted this certain-cereal-nobody-could-remember (until now) and pestered and whined until Mom gave in and got it for me. First bowl was the last and the rest of the product was unceremoniously tossed several weeks later. From then on, I was reminded how I was suckered to buy an inferior product by clever advertising and I had to stick with the tried-and-true favorites.

Anyone else remember this stuff? Did any kid like it or was it a let-down for you all, as well?Last edited by saildog; Jun 3, '08, 6:08 PM.Tags: None
