Yes! The mouth thing under the trap door. That thing gave me freaking nightmares.

I agree with everything except the last part, I personally never left "irony" especially considering how much of a blood bath it becomes at the end. Still, it's an incredibly fun movie, especially when you know the back story:

Not new, but Back in Stock: Miami Connection

If you like so bad they're good, you cannot go wrong with this film. It periodically goes in and out of stock, and when it's out, eBay prices go crazy. Get it for $10 and watch with beer, pizza, and friends. It's a howl. Highly recommended for lovers of bad 80s martial arts crime rock band fighting evil with positivity. You'll start by wondering if you've wasted your money. Then you'll start laughing. Then you'll be howling. Then something magical happens, and the movie actually wins you over, and by the end you are unironically cheering and fist pumping for the good guys.

It's not perfect, no, but there's never been another film quite like Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires.

I like that film, I wish lee had returned as Dracula for it. Then it would have been perfect.
I like it too. John Forbes Robertson had a thankless job in that role, but the awful Halloween kit makeup they put on him didn't help either. His Nosferatu entrance is cool though.

The film is worth it for more Cushing as Van Helsing, either way.

I've mentally bookended this flick with Doomwatch.

Not a Tom Baker or Dr. Who fan, but I love Hammer and British Horror (and Donald Pleasance). But I've never seen this one. Is it a safe blind buy?

^True. Shatter! was the other film in the deal between Hammer and Shaw Brothers that gave us The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires. Make of that what you will. ;-)

I like Whitman as an actor just fine, he's on a bajillion Fantasy Island episodes but he's not James Bond.

Shatter! is one of those movies I should like but I never got Stuart Whitman as an action man type.
I have never seen Shatter! but I understand it wasn't a production anyone involved recalls fondly. Whitman was a good lead in that segment of The Monster Club, but it might help that was playing a movie director, and he bares a striking resemblance to Richard Donner. But hey, he was Pa Kent on Superboy!
