Of course "UFOs" are real: Unidentified Flying Objects. People see them all the time. I've seen a few myself. It doesn't mean they're alien spacecraft, or any other explanation that involves the supernatural or extraterrestrial. With all of the aircraft, satellities, weather balloons, and covert military operations going on in the skies above us, it's a wonder there aren't more documented cases.
EDIT: I do not suggest that we are the only planet in the universe on which life has evolved; far from it. But given the vast distances involved, and the Einsteinian principles that dictate we cannot move anywhere near the speed of light (at which rate even the closest star would be 2 light years of travel away), it is extremely improbable that extraterrestrial beings could visit our world, and vice versa. I do not say impossible, but in the absence of real evidence (apart from personal anecdotes, which can be mistaken, misapprehended or outright hoaxes and are not scientifically valid), it's more probable to conclude that some terrestrial phenomenon is occurring in any given instance rather than extraterrestrial.

Wow!! GREAT GREAT TOPIC!!
Do I believe?
Simply put: Emphatically YES!!!
It's really simple: History proves repeatedly that the world of the "paranormal" is often nothing more than just the world the defies scientific explanation or study. That does not mean that it does NOT exist.
It is the human tendency to label anything that is not scientifically explained as "fantastic" or "superstition".
But there have been far too many documented case evidence studies on virtually all the phenomena mentioned in this thread to suggest that everyone who has experienced them is a "crackpot" or crazy.
Furthermore there have been far too many reputable, responsible, sober individuals making these observations and reports. I'm talking about clergymen, law-enforcement officers, trained naval and commercial pilots, you name it.
MYTHICAL BEASTS: Are Bigfoot the Lochness Monster, or the Chupacabra mythical, paranormal, vampiric, beasts or simply highly elusive creatures that have yet to be captured and scientifically studied? Well, judging by the incredible numbers of species living on this planet that have yet to even be seen, much less studied, I'd judge them to likely be the latter and most definitely real. Too many people have seen them for them to be simply a figment of someone's imagination.
Don't forget, the giant panda bear was only first "discovered" in Asia about 140 years ago. Before that, it too was considered a "mythical" beast thought to be the delusions of "crazy" people.
GHOSTS and HAUNTING In my view, this phenomenon is all too real. There are more than enough documented cases of genuine hauntings, poltergiests, and demonic infestations to dismiss them as "hysterics". Furthermore, a growing number of these cases are being looked at and measured scientifically by paranormal investigators.
But scientifically-speaking what IS a ghost, apparition, or "haunting"? Well it is believed that the human brain's electro-magnetic impulses are not destroyed even after an individual's death. There is strong evidence that suggests that those impulses make up a large part of who we each are (wants, desires, hates, loves, passions, angers, joys, etc.) If particularly STRONG brain impulses could somehow be electromagnetically "recorded" at a given site /location after our death, it is postulated that given the proper naturally-occurring electromagnetic circumstances that they could "play-back" and actually be visible. This is probably why locations of violent death are often thought to be (and documented to be) "haunted". Those strong, electromagnetically imprinted impulses randomly play back and scare the hell out of a casual observer in the form of an aparition / ghost.
It should be noted that scientific distinctions are being made between ghost/apparitions (who appear visually and seem to go about their business OBLIVIOUS to an outside observer... just like a recording) and SPIRITS who are thought to be decesed, disembodied individuals who's actual conciousness remains locked at a given location or surrounding a particular living individual.
Poltergiests are usually emotionally-charged spirits who typically draw on thermal energy in order to physically move objects about and make noises to let their presense be known. This is why the presense of a poltergiest is usually accompanied by a "cold spot" or pervasive chill at the location.
UFO's / ALIEN VISITATIONS: It is the height of human arrogance to believe that in the vastness of the whole of the universe, the only planet containing sentient, intelligent life is Earth, and WE are it!
Far too much evidence suggests that highly-advanced extra-terrestrial visitors have been coming to this planet for THOUSANDS of years. They have visited this planet in craft that utilize a technology that literally allows them to travel incredible distances in a reasonable amount of time. This suggests that they have somehow mastered the ability to travel fourth-dimensionally through warped or "bent" space-time. Countless numbers of these craft have been observed in our skies, and deep in our oceans by individuals from all walks of life including one modern US President. These alien visitors have studied and interracted with the human race through abductions and up-close secret observation for an incredibly long time.
More importantly, ample evidence suggests that the major governments of the world are aware of these visitations and the fact that they continue to this day thoughout the world. They have hidden these facts from the public for decades, engaging in mis-information and de-bunking campaigns routinely. Government funding has been diverted and entire government study groups have been formed to study this phenomena that they claim does NOT exist. Project Blue Book just to name ONE.
I have no doubt that a significant percentage of "Close Encounter" cases are observatons of experimental military craft developed by various world governments. I also have no doubt that a fair number of insane individuals have let their imaginations get the beter of them.
However, once you separate out those two types of close encounter observations from the vast number of case studies accumilated since just the late 1940's, and when you consider the characteristics and areal acrobatics performed by these craft that simply defy physics (completely silent, sharp perfect right-turns in mid-air at incredibly high speeds) what you have left over is a HEAVILY documented phenomena that is very real and un-deniable.
When you throw in the observations of pre-historic man in their writtings and cave -wall artwork depicting and describing flaming circular "charriots" decending from the skies piloted by large-headed beings with large "all-seeing" eyes... I think the truth is pretty plain to see.
Sckeptics may call me nuts, and that's okay. I've never really been one to care about what people think of me.
But I just believe that a greater stretch in LOGIC must be made to dismiss, debunk, and explain away ALL of these paranormal events as "paranoia" than to look at them for what they likely are: genuine encounters with the world of the un-known.Leave a comment:

I do belive - never seen any my self
My grand mother said she lived with one (1930s). You would hear it come up the stairs and no one would be there, and the toilet would flush when you where on it.
A year after she moved out the house was torn down because no one would live in it.
My great grandmother went to vist got to the door said there was somthing wrong with that house and refused to go in, but she had no problem with my grandmother living there.Leave a comment:

I wish I did believe in them, but I've never had any experiences. I've heard tell of some great ones, like Mikes. I had a roommate who seemed to be a ghost magnet, she had the "shine".
My Dad and grandfather have both seen UFOs in New Mexico.Leave a comment:

I am agnostic when it comes to Ghosts, and Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster and stuf. I would love to think they exist and I am certainly no authority on it, but I am not sure that they do. I like to belive that we don't have an answer for everything, and that there are some real mysteries left in the world.Leave a comment:

Very interesting topic and great responses so far. I must admit that I am a big skeptic. I have yet to have any out of the ordinary experiences that I am aware of as of yet. I do like reading others stories of such events. Makes me think that with so many others telling different stories from different areas that perhaps there just maybe more going on than what I have been exposed to so far.Leave a comment:

I do believe as well because of personal experiences... Both the house I grew up in and a house I had before I got married spooked me several times and I saw and felt things that could only be explained by spirits in the houses... I had several people over to my house who said they felt the same things... I walked in once and out of the corner of my eye saw someone standing in my living room, thought I was going to have to fight an intruder and when I squared up towards the person or whatever it was, it vanished, I then let Luey (my dog/son) out of the kitchen and he ran right to the spot and made sounds I never had, or never did hear from him again...Leave a comment:

There's quite a few on London Underground...I'm not sure if they have tickets
But there's none at my station.
I did see a UFO once...well three of them.
They span around in the sky making a circle, then they shot off in different
directions in the sky like a starburst...then my window fell out...I'll never forget it.Leave a comment:
