Marvel has announced a sequel for May 2010, followed by Matthew Vaughan's Thor in the summer of 2010, Captain America in May 2011 and -- get this! -- The Avengers in July 2011 (yes, two months after Cap). Captain America will be a period piece set in WWII; he will then be revived from his frozen state in The Avengers!!!!!!

Downey is ten times the actor Toby is , not even close.

I saw it yesterday and loved it. I have never read any Iron-Man comics so it was great to see it from the perspective of someone who doesn't really know the background story but is a super hero fan.

In my opinion it rates as third best superhero movie ever made. Spider-Man 1 is still #1 but I grew up reading Spider-Man comics so I'm subjective in that matter. I would rate the original Superman #2. That movies still holds up a couple of decades later. It was a great movie though and in good company considering Iron-Man isn't one of the better known super heroes.

VERY accurate to the Comics...there's even a Storyline in the Comics where Tony finds out His Company's Tech is preverted, and used by the wrong People...and He makes it His misssion to retrieve it. The only real change from the Comics is...Vietnam...to Afganastan...which totally makes sense, to update it. It's probably one of the most faithful Comic adaption's EVER!!

I liked Paltrow she is a cutie. Given some of my Superhero movie let downs in the past I am not going to complain about a single thing in this movie. Big Red and Yellow thumbs up.

...and there were a couple of posters in here who said Downey was a terrible choice for Tony Stark.

It's time for you to come clean and eat some crow.

Downey and all the other actors have already signed for the trilogy.

Anyone catch the name of the terrorist group that abducted Tony?

    The 10 Rings.

Now, let's see which Iron Man villain wears 10 rings...hmmm....

    What a set-up!

So I have a ton of Iron Man comics. I haven't read them in a long time - Most recently I reread the 80 or so I have out of the first 100 issues. **The following could perhaps be considered a spoiler.**

I didn't remember Stane and only vaguely remembered War Monger. I'm glad I didn't because I wouldda seen it coming.
