After seeing that I can see how somebody could mess it up if reading it quickly.

Looking at it fast a person could misread the card seeing the MISS UNIVERSE 2015 as the logo written at the bottom right.

They should have printed it below the rest of the finalists and used the same font size as the rest.

I don't think so. When watching the clip, I see guys in suits running through the crowd (and walking directly across a live camera shot) and that seems to indicate that things were going south backstage. But man, what an uncomfortable situation!

Yeah, I felt for Steve, and the runner-up, and I'm sure he was feeling bad for the contestants. What a mess, but hopefully the runner-up will be compensated by some lucrative fame before the 15 minutes of fame are up. Life goes on!

Yes the cities across the US and the clothing apparel company among other things is spelled Columbia while the South American country is spelled Colombia. But thank you for bringing it to our attention we are all better off for it.

I'm a huge Steve Harvey fan and he's one of the realest personalites in Hollywood. It will be interesting to hear his take on this.

And yes world beauty pageants are just as big as ever. They even have smaller knock off awards like the Supranational.

If that was a publicity stunt, then this society is a joke, If it wasn't, talk about embarrassing
for all involved. Harvey said "that's what was written on the card" so as if to say
please don't blame me, blame the person writing the results on the card.

If you wanna go by the original name of the explorer, in which both the District of Columbia and South America's Colombia are named after, then let's look at it closer. The English called him Christopher Columbus. The Spanish called him Cristóbal Colón. The Portuguese called him Cristóvão Colombo.

Well, he was Italian...and his real name was Cristoforo Colombo.

So the South Americans got it closer than the Yanks...
