First were the Beatles hand me downs from my sister. Throw in a little Archies too at the same time. Then I moved on the KISS bandwagon and soon smartened up and started listening to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Someone mentioned Aerosmith, Their first one was one of the first LP's I actually saved up for and went out and bought. Mama Kin rocks! High School it was all Neil Peart and RUSH.

I especially remember this Archies cover because I had a set of those plastic things on the cover. Anyone know what they were called?

Kiss is definitely a band that appeals to certain generations.

When I was in school, it was all Zep, Skynyrd, Floyd, AC-DC, Sabbath etc.

Back in the day, Kiss was more of a novelty act
Almost like a hard rock Banana Splits

    There make-up was good though.

    SORRY
I'm kind of the same way.
Being in highschool in the late 70's, the in thing was always Kiss Sucks.
Darn near everyone hated Kiss back in the day as much as Disco.
Mostly just younger kids liked them at the time.

    I have nothing against them...
    Just remembering

KISS was everywhere when I was a kid. Still love them today, although it is obvious to me now that they weren't very talented. They knew how to put on a show though!!!!

Interesting how we seem to fix on the music that was popular when we were children, and in High School.

The Beatles broke up when I was 12 years old, but they are #1 for me. Even mediocre bands from that era have my affection... Curious.
