That's a pretty one sided view of "sports". It's like judging the avengers movie because Downey had a drug problem at one point or saying Michael Jackson sucks because of his sordid history. I'm not saying you have to like them, but you clearly don't understand them.

I'm an art teacher who loves sports, sci fi, wrestling, my daughter, my dogs, hooters wings, Stella Artois and 2 ply toilet paper(mostly because of hooters wings). I would never just dismiss something I don't like (like rap music) by listing all of the worst examples of the culture. I don't like rap and I probably never will, but that doesn't discount it as an art form or a totally okay interest.

I've never watched a football game on television. Ever. That seems to shock a lot of people, especially here in Pittsburgh. I've been to three (two Steelers, one "Backyard Brawl"), but that was because the tickets were free and I was with someone else who wanted to go.

After that revelation is made, the Super Bowl is brought up.

No...never watched one of those either.

Me neither. I don't watch any sports. I live near Cleveland and I couldn't even tell you the name of a single player on any of the sports teams except for Lebron James because they plaster his stupid face on EVERYTHING here.

Oh I have been invited, that's usually when the "controversy" erupts, I just don't see the point if I'm not at all interested in the main reason. I'm not the type to sit and pretend that I'm interested, so I'd rather save the good times.
