It was a little strong, wasn't it? Yeah.
It was rare that we had either of them, but when we did, it was a real treat. We seemed to drink more soda than juice drinks.

We were also a kool aid house and like Mikey, Hawaiian punch always gave me heartburn. I have only gotten heartburn from that before I had hit 200 lbs.....now that I'm not heavy anymore, I'm sure it would be my kryptonite.Leave a comment:

We considered kool-aid king in our house in the summer. Although I remember us having some large cans of berry Hi-C in house as well too, just wasn't as popular though.Leave a comment:

Loved Hi-C in those big cans, back then. We always had some in the fridge. I liked a few of the flavors. One that I really like was the Peach Hi-C.

I should say though, that we did drink Hawaiian Punch sometimes. When I finally got a hand me down lunchbox (Bobby Sherman) and a plain red thermos to go in it, I used to make the powdered strawberry Hawaiian Punch for my thermos (of course made sickening sweet!). Also a friend of mine gave me a Hawaiian Punch Birthday kit when I was 10, and it had Punchy decorations, a plastic tablecloth, and lots of coupons for Hawaiian Punch. With a few bags of chips, and some boxes of cookies, my mom let me have a party w/ some of my friends. (But I still like Hi-C better!

Neither, Mom wouldn't buy 'em. We were Koolaid all the way, cherry, grape, & the weird root beer kind. Mrs. Somebody's...Leave a comment:

OK, now you've got me missing the green Hi-C. However, thanks to the miracle that is the Web, it took me only a few minutes to find a recipe. I might be trying this tonight.
