I used to be a fool for Shoney's breakfast buffet biscuits and gravy until they shut down.

Wish we had one in the Poconos

I remember liking Burger King's French toast sticks when they first came out but lately they seem to be glorified grease sticks.

Also, Mc's sausage patties are thicker than BK's

And I lost 55 lbs in three months a few years back and religiously ate an egg mcmuffin for breakfast.....and all cholesterol checks have been stellar. Just exercise 30 to 60 minutes a day....

Three years ago, I would've said mcdonalds in a landslide, but Burger King has basically copied the Mickey dees menu and now it's a toss up. Burger King is a mile closer so that usually comes into play when we decide to jump on the drive thru.

You know it's not health food, but trust me, the way some people eat at home it's probably almost a healthier alternative. I eat oatmeal, raisin bran or scrambled eggs seven days a week. I don't mind replacing one of those days with fast food every once in a while.

The simplicity of the sausage McMuffin works for me. I too prefer eating at home though. One thing I will HIGHLY recommend is the Bob Evans Hashbrowns. They are amazing out of the microwave or oven. And Brian, they are awesome on a bagel. If you can get 'em in Canada I say run out now

I always put my hash brown on the sandwich, something about the texture.

Sausage an bacon McMuffin sans egg for me and a hash brown(the fries of the McDs breakfast). A few times per year maybe.

I can make better and healthier egg mcmuffins and breakfast burritos at home than is available from either chain, and do so quite frequently.

But, when it comes to either/Or between the two, I admit that I will often get drive-thru breakfast at McDonald's on Saturday mornings en route to military reenactments to save time. And it is always two sausage-and-egg burritos, with a couple packets of salsa and an orange juice, because i will already have with me a to-go cup of freshly brewed Starbucks French Roast coffee from home.

I don't even remember the last time I had breakfast at BK.

Mickey D's all the way. While it's an infrequent treat these days I'm good for a sausage biscuit and hash brown when I indulge. Hard to believe I had that several times a week at one point!

BK has nothing I like. I like Whataburger's Taquito, then Jacks Supreme Sausage Sandwich, then McD's Sausage , Egg, Cheese Biscuit.

Recently I have been having difficulty finding a McD with people who know how to operate and or maintain their Icecream machines, so they have lost a lot of cred with me.

    CCC.

McDs. Although my wife likes Hardees cinnamon biscuits. I pretty much stay away from BK breakfast.
