I do too and I need to tone it down. I've said it to women before. Even my own Mom once or twice.

He actually turned to anyone in earshot an said "YOU ALL JUST HEARED HE CALLED ME DUDE, RIGHT?" totally insulted by a word I used daily.
That's kind of weird. I wonder if he was just playing it up because he knew he had nothing else to shut you down with.

One word I want to bring back: tenderoni.

I do! Especially since I started worked on my doll's blog (she's a 70s girl), I use 70s slang quite a bit. And yes, I say awesome and dude too.

most of mine are probably not suitable to post on here and the swear filter would not let me anyway, LOL. I use dude a lot too, my son uses it even more.

I say "dude" a lot. As in " Dude, that was awesome." or "No freakin way dude." My son says it too which is where I picked up that I say it a lot. To me it's just a word that somehow slipped into my everyday speech. I guess not everyone is used to hearing it hough because a couple of years ago I said it to someone during a disagreement at work and the guy honed in on it like I fired off some terrible racial epithet at him. He actually turned to anyone in earshot an said "YOU ALL JUST HEARED HE CALLED ME DUDE, RIGHT?" totally insulted by a word I used daily.

Ever since my dog escaped from his chain-linked fence and scratched his face bad, I started calling him "Boo". His name is Patch. I picked up the word watching RuPaul.

I completely overuse the word cool and dude, and I don't even surf. I much prefer using completely new words for others to take and use on their own.
Same here. I also overuse awesome. I use sweet a lot too. Is that outdated?

I don't honestly care. I should bring back the word "swell", Clark Kent style.
