The last episode of Roseanne was a sad mindfrak.

St Elsewhere killed me. Not the episode so much, but the MTM kitten dying during the credits!

M*A*S*H is definitely there. that was a real "event" in TV history
LOST - I know some people did not like it and it certainly left a lot of unanswered questions but I have found after a few viewings that it really did end the show well
DS9 and Voyager both ended well and gave closure for many of the characters
    Smallville
I am sure there are others but those are the ones that come to mind

I find I like that one more as time goes by. I think at the time I was expecting more, but stepping back a few years it's pretty much the ONLY way the show could end.

I liked the ending of the original prisioner. Victory Gundam was a favourite too. (Just when you thought the series couldn't get any MORE depressing....) Newhart had a good one. There was a show in the 90's.... "Made in Canada" about a tv network that had a fantastic ending.

One that I didn't like, but really stuck with me was "Cheers." The moral of the series seemed to have been "give up."

For some reason, the one that springs to mind is Six Feet Under. Unforgettable.

Happy Days had a good ending, even if Fonzie adopting the kid was too last minute. Tom Bosley addressing the audience directly was a nice touch, as was Ron Howard's brief cameo.

Other endings that stick out to me: M.A.S.H., Quantum Leap, Smallville (although it had it's share of disappointments). Everybody Loves Raymond had a nice ending. Raymond flat lined briefly during a routine surgery, and the whole family freaked out. It proved the title of the show was accurate, and gave the actors a chance to really shine with some real emotion in their last half hour. And then it just ended with everyone eating around the table, since their lives would of course go on as usual.

Seinfeld gets a lot of crap for a bad ending, but I personally thought it was fitting. These were pretty horrible people. They deserved it!

    Final T.V. Episodes..

What's your favorite final t.v. episode? Where you watching it at the time?

Mine easily is Happy Days final episode. I was watching it the night it was on but they didn't make a big deal about it all cause the show had been dying off for several years. Now when I watch it all these years later its a tear jerker for sure!
