Well if you're in Jersey it could be a Rally's up there..Rally's and Checkers are both owned by the same company and sell the same products.

Yea, back then McDonalds was a treat.......
But, I lived in the sticks, so it was a hike just to get to the closest one.
Biggest treat though was going to Stewarts drive-in.
You know Checkers still makes those apple pies right? exactly like McDonalds use to

Yeah going to McDonalds as a kid was always lots of fun, especially when my mom would get down and let us play in the playground

We had 2 Dairy Queen's not far from me.
They weren't really that popular back then....

I think because there was also a Ma-&-Pa icecream drive-in that used to kill Dairy Queen's business because everything they sold was twice as big as anything you get from Dairy Queen-- and they were cheap.

    Funny thing is,
    30+ years later......
Both Dairy Queen's are still here but the Ma-&-Pa icecream drive-in is now long gone.
I guess they sold stuff too cheap

I remember when I played Little League and across from the ballpark was a Dairy Queen. Whenever we won a game we always got to go over there for a free sundae served up in a little plastic MLB helmet.
Also remeber going to Burger King for an Ice Buuurger, kind of a popcicle kind of thing.

Also, going to Dairy Queen was a big thing in the summer.
And soda was only one of those thing you had if you went to a ball game, the rollerskating rink, or for New Years Eve.

The Happy meal with Toy just turned 25 years old I believe.

I like the Chocolate Sudae and wish it was still on the dollar menu!

    Mcdonald's

Do you guys actually remember when it was a real treat to get to go to McDonald's back in the day? Also, to Burger Chef to get those cheezy fun meals. Ha. I still love the McDonald's sundae...
