That is true. Water polo is a very physical sport. The reason why it can sort of boring to watch is so much is happening underwater. Dudes are getting punched, pulled, yanked, pushed etc etc. Back in the day we always wore TWO suits. WHY? Because if you got your suit ripped off, you'd have one on underneath.......

It's a tough, tough sport to play---just boring to watch!

I considered applying for tickets for the Olympics this year, but never got around to it.

I went to the '76 Olympics in Montreal... have some good childhood memories of that.

It's only once every 4 years, so the saturation TV coverage doesn't bug me.

The only thing I watch during the Olympics is wrestling. The rest of it I couldn't give a flip about.

I played water polo in high school. It's a great sport and a lot of fun to play. But I'd admit that it's a pretty rotten spectator sport!

I'll repeat this post of mine in case you are not interested clicking on my Olympic Soccer thread...

I hope some of my fellow members don't get too turn off by my support for Mexico.

It's never over the USA...I regard them equally.

I'm a dual citizen, USA and Mexico.

Come on guys...we all know the USA is the MIGHTIEST of them all...41 Golds...94 medals in total so far.

Lowly little Mexico has only 5 measly medals in total...with no Golds.

Come on guys...throw me a bone...and root for Mexico to win its first Gold medal in the Olympics...

I watched the cycling road events. I usually watch any & all professional cycling events. I raced as an amateur for about 12 years, and often raced against pros. I actually beat the 1984 Olympic champion in a race in 1988 or 1989... It's still my favorite sport. But I don't watch much of the Olympics... But I dig sports in general... I'm getting psyched for football season- that usually means cookouts, steaks & beers with buds at my house... ;-)
