So Im sitting here looking through old pics. Back in the 70's, 80's and even the early 90's. The fourth of July was a big event in my household. My family would hold a picnic at our house and at least 50 of our relatives would come over. We would then go to watch the fireworks that our local fire station would put on (they still do today although I don't live there anymore). There were and still are 100's of people that go every year. I also remember at our swim club in the late 70's there were swim races that we had. I always came in at least in second place every year and they would give me a ribbon. Good memories for me.
Nowdays for me the 4th kinda stinks cause I always have to work.
