Tebow is always the same guy. Win or lose. Compare him to any other rookie QB(which) he basically is) this year and He is better. Heck he has better numbers than a lot of vets. When you fumble the ball 3-4 times against the pats, your gonna lose period. -
The Ravens are much better at home then on the road.

I think Johnny Knox had his back broken yesterday. It was a horrible injury and he is getting back surgery today. Thankfully he wasn't paralyzed. And the Bears just continue to add to the injury list. Once their last remaining starting safety (Conte, who is a rookie but better then the rest of the garbage they have) left with an injury the Seahawks started torching the secondary. But as I said before once Cutler went down they were toast anyway. Hopefully this will be enough to send their crummy GM Jerry Angablow packing. His poor drafting has killed this team for years now and once the injuries started piling up it came back to bite him. It's a shame too because they were doing well up to the point they lost Jay.

Huge props to Hub Arkush. He is the publisher and editor of Pro Football Weekly and a regular on our local sports radio 670 AM, The Score. For a number of weeks has been telling callers that he thought the team that would break the Packers winning streak would be the Chiefs. I really enjoy listening to Hub as he knows the NFL well and proved that once again. He also said he thought the Chargers would win this week then win out and take the division. The guy knows football.Leave a comment:

The Giants loss was no surprise. Anyone who remotely pays attention to the NFC East knows these teams play each other hard and know each other well. You can throw out the records when these divisional match-ups occur. It will most likely come down to who wins the Cowboys/Giants game to determine the divisional champ. And it's no longer 2007, so I wouldn't draw too much mystical correlation between that Giants team and this one. Night and day difference regarding performance and heart.
It was also nice to see Tebow exposed as little more than the media's class pet. Now he has lost. Let's see who jumps off the bandwagon and whether Tebow is just as enthusiastic about losing as he was about blundering through wins.Leave a comment:

^^^The talent level, the city, the climate and the fans will attract a HUGE name coach like Gruden or Cowher or Fischer. There is NO WAY Turner survives the mid-season slump with his head intact.Leave a comment:

Good day all around...
Raiders lose (sorry Hector) Denver loses (sorry Tebow)...and THE SAN DIEGO SUPER-CHARGERS blow out one of the best teams in the NFL.
I still hope and pray that Turner gets fired. Please God, that's all I want for Christmas.Leave a comment:

Glad you guys liked that SNL sketch...like I said...it was not mean-spirited...just poking a little fun at Tebow...I'm sure he'd got a good laugh as well...

Yeah...you are right...I think they can be a force...will shall see..The 2007 New York Giants were a 5th seed, not a 6th, but your point is taken.
Hector, that SNL clip was hilarious!
Also, Hec, as frustrated as I am with the Raiders and how they've (under)performed this last month, you have to take into account all the injuries they've had at the skill positions (McFadden, Jacoby Ford, Danarius Moore have all missed significant time), and also consider that Carson Palmer has been learning the offense on the fly. As much as I wanted to see them in the playoffs this year, I think they'll be set up to make a run next year.

Thanks for the Clarification ...
I thought for sure they were the 6th .... from my memory ..., and Obviously when I was watching a similar conversation a few weeks back on ESPN ..., So did they.
& Yes ..., I DO Believe my point was taken.Leave a comment:

The 2007 New York Giants were a 5th seed, not a 6th, but your point is taken.I just don't Believe the Competitive Nature of the Game was Equal.
Look at The NFL Since 2005 ....
3 Sixth Seated Teams Have Gotten Into the Play Offs , on a Wildcard , sneeking in so to speak, because of losses by other Teams ,with all away Games, and Have Made it to the Super Bowl and Won it.
Steelers
G-Men
& Last Years Packers

what i mean is that it's not like Miami was a super team in 72, they were as equal as anyone that year, they didn't have blow out wins or any major super stars...they played hardnose defense and barely a 14 point per game offense and still managed to do itI just don't Believe the Competitive Nature of the Game was Equal.

Look at what Teams like the Jets and Ravens have Done in the Play Offs in recent years too ...
1st and 2nd Seats With a Rested Bye Week Used to Mean Something, with only an upset Every So Often , Not so Much Anymore. It's really any Given Sunday .
If there is seriously any indication of this Theory, The Firing of Coaches into the Season, Half Way Threw or Even with a couple of games left is pretty strong Evidence, .... Everyone's trying to keep up ..., and losing seasons with a "possible" improved season the following year, is just unacceptable Today. The Chief's Coach got the Boot ..., after a 13-3 season or so last year .Leave a comment:
