I have nothing against these people, but imo I think they were let in because they were a particular judge's fancy ...
Most are basically 1 hit wonders with reputations larger than their musical accomplishments.

The Talking Heads should be in...they were a pretty big influence of the New Wave bands...

In a 2011 update of Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Artists of All Time", the band was ranked 100.

Fair enough but regardless of any Rolling Stone polls the Talking Heads were a very influential and creative band. We all have different tastes...
