Warriors was excellent but I'm more of a greaser fan so for me it's the wanderers I like to think of it as the outsiders on nitro!!!

I was thinking of the version from The Eagles' album The Long Run, but you are correct, it's Walsh's earlier version that was in the movie.

I like the directors cut idea but the comic book framing aspect really gets in the way. Prefer smooth transitions. Not too crazy about the beginning but I like the idea.
Yeah, it's one of the few director's cuts that really ruins an already great movie.

I know that The Warriors is a cult classic, but I'm shocked at how much less love there is for The Wanderers. Wanderers is 1960's period film, with a slightly bittersweet subtext about growing up, whereas Warriors is comic book brought to life (something that Hill really did NOT need to underline with his director's cut)
    Both films feature excellent music.

The Warriors has a timeless, almost dream-like quality, but The Wanderers has some stylized scenes, too. The Ducky Boys gang just sort of appear out of nowhere, and never speak.

    Don't $@#% with the Wongs!

No contest: The Warriors. Saw it when it first hit the theaters. The Eagles' In The City was the perfect song to end it.

Love 'em both. I give a slight edge to The Warriors.

We use to play The Warriors in the school ground back in 6th grade until one of the other kids told the teacher and nixed that activity ever again. He also later told the teacher about The Benny Hill Show since so many of the boys mentioned it as their favorite show. LOL Notes went home to the parents.

I ended up being Rembrandt. LOL

Like them both and have both on DVD.

Will have to go with the Warriors though, because of the same thing Hector mentioned ... that movie left an imprint.
